One of the great things about Mindfulness is that it helps open your mind to new things.
This concept is something entirely new to me: instead of quietening your mental chatter, you listen to it!
The way you manage your mental chatter is by:
- Using a notebook regularly to note the detail of your chatter, not just the gist of it – on a regular, daily basis.
- Noting what instigates the chatter periods, how they relate to each other and what categories they fit into
- Reviewing your notes to look for trends.
